Olivia

Friday night was that of uneventful at the de Roda house until we got a call that someone wanted to look at our place...so we were forced out to find something to do! Eddie wanted to check out the dogs at Petco (we would NEVER buy a dog unless it was from the humane society)so we walked around the store for a while. Having grown up without pets, I am not that into something for the house, but while looking at the goldfish...Eddie thought we needed one for Dylan! Do you know how gross fish are?? They poop and you have to clean out the water without killing the fish, and the food stinks... seriously! After leaving an hour later... we had Olivia. Dylan named it and I am still curious where he got the idea for a name like Olivia!! He was so excited to call everyone and tell them about his new fish and his "best friend".

Olivia coming home!

First time she swims in her new pad

Dylan got to feed her... stinky!

He was so excited to share some toys so she had something to look at!

Three days past... Dylan was taking GREAT care of Olivia! He would check on her in the morning and when he came home he would want to check on her. It was the cutest thing! Well, Monday evening rolls around and I thought... lets go get a net so we can clean her bowl properly since she has lived for more than 2 days! We ventured on back to petco and picked up a net... and a new Beta fish! It was so pretty and they said it wouldn't die right away because Beta fish can create there own oxygen... who knew?! This time it was my idea to get the Beta fish...with a pretty bowl, and some foliage to put in the bowl... ok and don't forget the budda statue! Eddie got to work cleaning out the bowl of nasty water for Olivia, only to put her back in and notice that Olivia had passed on. He showed Dylan that Olivia was a good fish but now needed to go down the toilet. (I think he shocked her from putting her in water that wasn't ok conditions). Dylan was sad and decided on the way down that he would call the goldfish Toby and the new fish would take on the name Olivia. (Where do kids get this crap?!)

Eddie showing Dylan his dead fish...

Dylan renaming his fish as he is flushed away...

Make way... NEW Olivia pictures soon to come!!
(If I post it all at once, no one will see anything for another 2 months!)

Haha...try again! Hopefully you won't kill it as fast next time! :)Love that Dylan named it Olivia. Why only a dog from the Humane Society? Dogs are the best!
