Monday morning was a typical day, I was lazy and didn't get in the shower until about 11am, Dylan finally got dressed about the same time, and I was getting the energy to take him to the grocery store for some stuff for the week when I get a call from Eddie. Now I should mention, we were planning a trip to California in April with my family and have been for a while...he was supposed to get work off for that time. Anywho... He called around 11:30 (still in my robe and wet hair) and told me that he wasn't going to be able to go to California. I was getting pissed, did her really forget to request the time off?? WTF!! He could tell I was getting irritated and I asked him (very rudely) WHY? He then continued to explain to me that he will be in Oklahoma for his class date!!! I started crying immediately and kept saying over and over "Oh my God" (sorry.. classy I know!) I couldn't stop crying and was overwhelmed with the emotion of waiting and wanting and the unknown. When I called my mother (still crying hysterically) she thought that something terrible had happened, I couldn't get the words out entirely and ended up texting my brother so she knew everything was FABULOUS!!
Eddie will be starting his "training" in Oklahoma April 20th and will drive to Roswell the first week of June. I will be joining him then. I appologize for the lengthy post, but this is a story to remember! Dylan and I made him a welcome home gift when he got home from work that day...
