As all of you know by know, Eddie and I are HUGE soccer fans! We have season tickets to Real Salt Lake and follow the European leagues (mostly Spain and Madrid). Anyway, RSL didn't look like they had much of a playoff spot winning all but one home game and having a terrible away record... BUT, they pulled it out of a hat! They needed 3 other teams to either lose or tie on the last game of the season and they needed a win and without much assistance they easily won their game and oddly enough the other teams did exactly what RSL needed them to do!! They went on to the Eastern Conference Championship game against Columbus and WON!!! We met them at the airport to congratulate them on a victory and to cheer them on for the MLS championship later that next week...
We have a picture of Nick Rimando (goalkeeper), Kyle Beckerman (midfielder) and Chris Wingert (Defender) holding the cup... My father in law Eduardo is holding the We Believe sign!!
