Yaya... miss her all ready!!

We LOVED having Yaya here...miss her all ready!! Dylan was SO excited, and I was too. I don't believe we will have many visitors to this part of New Mexico, and who knows when we will be able to come up to SLC anytime soon so it is always nice to see a familiar face whom we love!
Eddie had to drive 3 hours to ABQ to pick her up and then the 3 hour drive home... it makes for a long day in the car, but he was just as thrilled to see his mother as was the rest of us. When she got here, the smile on Dylan's face and the hugs he gave, it was an incredible feeling and was SO sweet! I wish I got more photos because it was seriously SO cute! Below is a photo of him calling her asking WHEN she was going to be here! I think he may have thought I was lying... ;)

Dylan helped make her a chocolate cake with sprinkles and two welcome pictures! He even spelled his name by himself! (Ok, I helped show him what the letters were supposed to look like)

This is the smile on his face when she got here!! He was SO excited and couldn't wait to give her a HUGE hug!

I should have taken a picture of her luggage... one full bag was stuff that she brought down from Spain! He was SO excited to see what kinds of things were in there.

I didn't take many photos while she was here because we stayed inside most of the time. It was so hot (about 103 to 107 all week)so we stayed inside coloring and relaxing. Cindy was SO good and knows how much I love the Spanish cooking that she does... she made me a Tortilla!! It is almost like a potato omelet, but ... well, not really. It is SO good!

Dylan using his "cool" straw while Cindy cut potatoes. She wouldn't let me help, but I did try to get some pointers so I could make my own when she is gone!

A couple days we did get out, only to take Yaya to see the airport and Eddie at work, and to of course see the tourist attractions in Roswell! Cindy was SUCH a trooper and keeps saying this town isn't as bad as we keep saying, but I think it is because she knows she gets to go home to SLC... and family!
This is our Subaru on the airstrip coming to get Yaya! It is crazy to see cars drive where the planes are... to and from the tower.

Cindy helped me get a plant for the front of the house! Since this place is a cookie cutter duplex with 6 others, this beautiful plant helps us stand out a little. THANKS CINDY!

As I said... she was a trooper! Had to get some tourist photos!!

Before she left, Eddie learned how to make a Paella in our very own Paella pan, and then we drove her up to ABQ to get some time OUT of Roswell, and to let her see some of the other wonders of New Mexico (they do call it the Enchanted State)! These collages of photos are of Paella, ABQ and Sante Fe. (Please don't mind the nasty 9 month prego family picture! It was HOT and I HAD to sit! This chick inside is heavy!)

We LOVED having Cindy ... aka "Yaya" around for a week before she starts her school year teaching! Hopefully we will get to see her again soon... it is ALL Dylan talks about! Love you Cindy!

Visitors help the loneliness SO much... but then they leave! Glad you were able to have such a fun time while she was there.

12 days!?! I can't believe it.

(P.S. I think I fixed my comment 'problem' on my blog.)
